Meet the Team
Your Clarity Cognitive & Speech Therapy Therapists!
Owner and Founder
Jessica Downing
I’m Jessica Downing, owner and speech therapist of Clarity Cognitive and Speech Therapy. I graduated from ISU with my Master’s of Science in Speech-Language Pathology in 2014. I immediately began my career in Evansville with Progressive Rehab as I traveled between three different nursing homes. After my husband finished his degree in physical therapy, we moved back home to Terre Haute to start our family.
I worked at Union Hospital and then at Harrison’s Health Campus before we had our two boys Joey (5) and Jared (3). During the pandemic, I became saddened by the state of our healthcare system and contemplated changing careers. Thankfully and with the support of my husband, I decided to change the game instead!
When not providing speech therapy services to people of all ages, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, running, and being outside as much as possible. I have a passion for all things speech therapy from toddlers to grandparents and everyone in between. I want to help you meet your goals!
PRN Speech Therapist
Megan Megali
Hello! My name is Megan Megali, PRN speech therapist with Clarity Rehab. I graduated from Indiana State University in 2019 with my Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology. Since graduating, I have worked with clients with ages ranging from 2 to 102! I specialize in preschool speech and language, but also have a love for treating cognition with adult clients. I am married with two children, Tyler (10) and Blake (9). Together we love to canoe, camp, and hike. I also love to read, knit, and walk my dogs. I am incredibly honored to be part of the team at Clarity, and look forward to helping you or your family member meet your cognitive, communicative, or swallowing needs!
Speech Therapist
Amber Reece
Hi! My name is Amber Reece and I am a speech therapist at Clarity Cognitive and Speech Therapy, Inc. I earned my Masters Degree in Speech Language Pathology at Indiana State University in 2017. Upon graduation I had the privilege of working for a large hospital where I had the opportunity to practice along the continuum of care - acute care, inpatient rehab, outpatient, and home health. I most recently worked in the schools for 2 years working with the littlest learners in a developmental preschool program.
I am here to support patients and families on the journey to make functional gains in communication, swallowing, and cognition in order to be able to live a full and meaningful life! I have completed specialized training for treating swallowing disorders for head and neck cancer patients and treating communication impairments in patients with Parkinson’s Disease. I have broadened my continued education over the past few years to include training in AAC, neurodiversity affirming care, and developmental disorders of speech and language.
In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my husband of 6 years and our 3 children. Together we enjoy playing outside, playing board games, and weekly movie nights!
