Meet the Team
Your Clarity Cognitive & Speech Therapy Therapists!

Owner and Founder
Jessica Downing
I’m Jessica Downing, owner and speech therapist of Clarity Cognitive and Speech Therapy. I graduated from ISU with my Master’s of Science in Speech-Language Pathology in 2014. I immediately began my career in Evansville with Progressive Rehab as I traveled between three different nursing homes. After my husband finished his degree in physical therapy, we moved back home to Terre Haute to start our family.
I worked at Union Hospital and then at Harrison’s Health Campus before we had our two boys Joey (5) and Jared (3). During the pandemic, I became saddened by the state of our healthcare system and contemplated changing careers. Thankfully and with the support of my husband, I decided to change the game instead!
When not providing speech therapy services to people of all ages, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, running, and being outside as much as possible. I have a passion for all things speech therapy from toddlers to grandparents and everyone in between. I want to help you meet your goals!
Additional Trainings: Lee Silverman Voice Treatment (LSVT), Vital Stim, and Tethered Oral Tissues Specialty (TOTS).

Krystyna Edgington
I’m Krystyna Edgington, a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant here at Clarity Cognitive and Speech Therapy. I graduated from ISU in 2023 with my Bachelor’s of Science in
Speech-Language Pathology and a minor in Counseling. I then went on to be a SLPA for Clay Schools for 2.5 years while also working at Clarity part-time for about 5 months before ultimately deciding to make this place home in January of 2026!
Outside of work, I take pride in being the best wife to my husband, Dylan, and the best mom to our two beautiful girls. We enjoy movie nights, trips to get ice cream, and being outside to burn off energy.
My favorite part about speech therapy is how broad the job is. From little ones to grown adults, each patient is different and unique in their own ways. I thrive in diving deep into what I can do as a therapist that will truly be beneficial to the patient and their families, both inside and outside of the speech setting. I can’t wait to navigate that journey with you!

Cloe Clark
Hi my name is Cloe Clark! I will be graduating from Indiana State University with a Masters of Science in Speech Language Pathology. I am currently completing my final round of clinicals before graduating this summer and starting here at Clarity Cognitive and Speech Therapy full-time! I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders, along with a minor in Counseling. During that time, I was also a member of the track & field team as a javelin thrower.
I have a strong interest in working with individuals who exhibit challenging behaviors, across all ages and diagnoses. I am passionate about continuing to grow my knowledge to best support individuals with a variety of needs and syndromes. I am excited to help and support everyone to reach their goals.
I am originally from a small town in central Illinois, and am excited to now call Terre Haute home. Outside of the office, I enjoy spending time with friends and family, hanging out with my dog, reading, and staying active. I also love all things The Legend of Zelda and have a slight obsession with cleaning.

Brittany Barnes
Hello! My name is Brittany Barnes, and I am a Clinical Fellow at Clarity Cognitive and Speech Therapy. I earned my Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology from Eastern Illinois University in May 2026. I also hold a Bachelor of Science in Integrative Biology with a minor in Forensic Science from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville.
I have a strong passion for working with AAC devices because I believe everyone deserves a voice and the ability to express themselves. I love helping individuals find the communication methods that best meet their needs and allow their personalities to shine. I am excited to support you on your journey and help you achieve your goals every step of the way.
Outside of the office, you can find me sitting outside with my dog, reading a book, or spending time with my friends and family. I also enjoy baking and trying new crafts.

Office Manager
Stacey Edwards
Born and raised right here in Terre Haute, I am the voice behind the phone or the friendly face that greets you when you come into Clarity! As the Front Office Manager, I am dedicated to creating a welcoming, organized, and positive experience for every guest!
When I’m not at work, you’ll usually find me outside enjoying the sunshine, whether it be running miles, hiking on the trails, paddling along in my kayak, or going on many dog walks my Cooper wants. Proud dog mom here! I also am trying to keep up with my never-ending book list (with dreams of having my own library room one day!). Belle is my favorite Disney princess btw. I like to call myself a huge fan of motorsports, sports, and all things horror. Fun fact - My top two movies are The Nightmare Before Christmas and Twister!
Feel free to stop by the office window to say hi any time!
